Building an Inclusive Workplace: Mastering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Course

This project was designed to create a learning experience that equips professionals with the tools to foster a more inclusive workplace. I consulted with the Reimagine Talent Co team to identify key challenges in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, and developed a targeted course that addresses these areas. Through sections on the Cycle of Socialization, Understanding and Unlearning Bias, Identity and Intersectionality, and Emotional Intelligence, participants will actively engage in self-reflection and learn strategies to dismantle biases, enhance emotional intelligence, and create more equitable work environments. This course empowers individuals to take actionable steps toward fostering inclusivity and belonging in the workplace.

The Showcase Course was developed as a comprehensive resource to support faculty in building online courses. It features example designs and tools used to help faculty and instructional designers create engaging, consistent, and transparent courses.

Training Showcase Course

The Showcase Course was created to streamline the onboarding process for new instructional designers and course developers at FIU Online. By providing a comprehensive resource with example designs, tools, and tutorials, the course allows new hires to independently familiarize themselves with key components of course development. This includes learning activities, course design strategies, and the use of interactive and accessible elements, all designed to ensure consistency and engagement in online learning environments. The showcase not only reduced onboarding time but also enhanced the quality of faculty training by offering practical, hands-on experiences with course development tools, promoting self-sufficiency, and enabling trainers to focus on other essential duties.
